| It depends a lot on the individual's feeling. At school, graduate school I mean, an overriding factor is your achievement in class. Due to language barrier and cultural difference, early portion of these periods are more dissatisfying and more likely to feel like got discriminated. At work place, competition is fierce, and discrimination is common. Not necessarily racial or foreigner, the factor they have to advance on top of your head is enough for them to use any means possible to put you down. So, get strong and get smart, fence for yourself. Don't rely on other people's pity.... |
